Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled low bed and dump trailer driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting construction equipment and materials to and from job sites while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the low bed and dump trailers. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to navigate various routes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate a dump trail in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport heavy equipment and materials such as gravel, sand, or construction debris to designated locations.
- Load and unload equipment and materials using appropriate techniques, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and materials transported.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site managers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
- Drive manual transmission vehicles as necessary, demonstrating proficiency in route driving.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record required.
- Massachuetts 2A1C hoisting license required.
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with low bed and dump trailers or similar vehicles.
- Familiarity with flatbed and tanker operations is a plus.
- Ability to load heavy and paving equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of manual transmission driving techniques.
- Excellent route navigation skills with knowledge of local roadways.
- Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading equipment and materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
