Description:

Cape Cod Lumber is looking for an experienced CDL Driver, Class B with a Hoisting license

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safe Operation of Commercial Motor Vehicle

Drive and operate a commercial motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and Moffett forklift to ensure they are in proper working condition

2. Loading and Unloading

Operate Moffett forklift to load and unload materials at delivery and pickup locations
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transportation

3. Delivery and Pickup

4. Documentation

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries and pickups
Complete required paperwork, such as delivery receipts, logbooks, and inspection reports

5. Customer Service

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and co-workers
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays

6. Equipment Maintenance

7. Compliance

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including DOT regulations

Requirements:

Valid CDL License- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements

Moffett Forklift Certification- Must possess a Massachusetts 1C license

Clean Driving Record- Maintain a clean driving record with no major violations

Physical Fitness- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 80lbs. Good physical condition to endure long hours on the road

Communication Skills- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Safety Conscious- Commitment to safety protocols and regulations

**Familiar with the lumber industry is a plus but not required
